What is Single Visit RCT?

Single Visit RCT is a procedure in which the entire root canal treatment is completed in one appointment. Benefits of Single Visit RCT

The main advantage of Single Visit RCT is that it saves you time and minimizes discomfort. You won’t have to schedule multiple appointments or endure extended treatment periods. Additionally, Single Visit RCT has a high success rate and is comparable to traditional RCT in terms of effectiveness.

At Laxmi Dental Care, we offer Single Visit Root Canal (RCT) treatment with advanced techniques and equipment. While Single Visit RCT is a highly effective treatment, it may not be suitable for everyone. Contraindications include complex canal anatomy, severe infection, extensive decay, previous root canal treatment, and the presence of a periapical abscess. Our Advanced Equipment

RVG With Portable X-Ray: Our portable RVG X-ray machine allows us to capture high-quality digital X-rays quickly and conveniently. These images are instantly displayed over the computer with the help of RVG and available for review and can be easily shared with specialists or other healthcare providers as needed.

Endomotor: A motorized handpiece used for precise instrumentation of root canals during endodontic procedures.

Apex-Locator: A device that accurately determines the working length of root canals during root canal treatments.

Gutta-Percha Cutter: An instrument designed to heat and trim gutta-percha cones used for filling and sealing root canals.

Endo Aspirator: A device used for efficient removal of fluids and debris from the root canal system during endodontic procedures.

Ortho Pantamography (OPG)Our OPG machine takes panoramic X-rays of the entire mouth, providing a detailed view of the teeth, jawbone, and surrounding structures. This technology allows us to identify dental issues that may not be visible on traditional X-rays.

The Root Canal Procedure:

During a root canal treatment, the endodontist will numb the tooth and surrounding area with a local anesthesia.
They will create an access opening in the tooth to remove the infected or inflamed pulp using specialized instruments.
The root canal system is cleaned and disinfected to remove any bacteria or debris.
The endodontist may also place an antimicrobial solution to kill any remaining bacteria.

Once the root canal is cleaned and disinfected, the endodontist will fill the root canal with gutta-percha.

A permanent filling is placed to seal the access opening. The final step of the procedure is to restore the tooth with a crown to protect it from further damage and to regain its strength.

Aftercare for Root Canal Treatment:

After a root canal, it is normal to experience some mild discomfort and sensitivity for a few days.
Over-the-counter pain medication can help alleviate any discomfort.
It is also important to practice good oral hygiene to prevent further infections.
This includes brushing twice a day, flossing daily, and visiting your dentist regularly every six months once.
